Grand Connaught Rooms, 61 - 65 Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5DA

Date: 13.00 - 17.30, 12 May 2015

Closely following the General Election, our spring Members’ Meeting will focus on the new political agenda and include presentations and discussions led by industry experts and ADBA representatives, including our Strategic Adviser, Chris Huhne.

Topics covered will include the future of smaller scale AD and the forthcoming FIT review, which we expect the new government to publish this summer. We will update members on the latest evidence we have gathered, and seek views on the case we need to make as an industry. Many developers will also be concerned about the future of the RHI, which has no budget set after April 2016 – we will assess the political prospects for the scheme, and discuss how we best make the case for ongoing biomethane support.

Across the incentives, operators using crop feedstocks need to be aware of bioenergy sustainability criteria, which are already in place for the RO and will dictate whether a plant can receive RHI payments from October. We will present ADBA’s position on how the criteria should develop, and look for views from members.

With the food waste sector facing constraints on the availability of food waste, ADBA director Dr David Greenfield will lead a discussion on what direction the new government will take, and how members can work with local authorities. And we will discuss issues with the availability of electricity and gas grid connections, and what action the new government needs to take to ensure it is possible to continue to connect new projects.

This free event will be a unique opportunity to give your views and influence ADBA’s priorities over the next years. If you would like further information about our Members' Meeting, please email our Marketing Executive, Barbara Landell Mills.
