Air Liquide

Air_Liquide_CreativeO2_for digital

World leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health, Air Liquide is present in 80 countries with approximately 65,000 employees and serves more than 3.5 million customers and patients. Air Liquide is a committed stakeholder to new energies.

It has developed technologies and expertise that span the entire biomethane value chain. The Group has designed its own membranes’ technology for upgrading biogas and enhances the value created by Anaerobic Digestion plants. These solutions enable the upgrading of all biogases for subsequent injection into the natural gas grid, the production of vehicle fuel (compressed or liquefied natural gas or biogas) and the production of renewable hydrogen from liquid biomethane.

Not only a technology provider, Air Liquide makes partnerships with biogas producers and shares its experience. The Group already has two biomethane plants in operation in the United Kingdom and has a further four in construction. It operates nearly 50 biogas sites worldwide. The biomethane that is upgraded by Air Liquide can be notably used as fuel. Up to date, Air Liquide operates nearly 60 bio-NGV (Natural Gas for Vehicle) fueling stations in Europe, including three in the United Kingdom. They can refuel vehicles with compressed natural gas (CNG) or/and liquefied natural gas (LNG) on the same site, produced in part from biomethane. Some can also provide liquid nitrogen for cryogenic refrigerated transport.

Vapogant digestate evaporator

Our system processes digestate from a biogas plant to produce a usable, concentrated by-product (fertiliser) and reduces water content of the liquid fraction, thereby reducing the volume of the residual digestate.

The system utilises available waste heat to thicken and reduce the total volume of the digestates produced in the biogas plant. Water is removed from the digestate through vacuum evaporation utilising waste heat from the CHP’s. At the same time, volatile nitrogen is bound so that any emissions during storage and spreading will be minimised, making the nitrogen available as ammonium sulphate solution (ASS).

Up to 70% of water content can be reduced through a very high evaporation rate of 2.5 litres per kilowatt of thermal output. Typically a 500 kW plant provides enough heat to reduce the liquid volume by about 10,000 m³ per year.

The plant is scalable to suit and is available in a module sizes of 400 kW or 500 kW.

Green Forage

Green Forage is the exclusive importer of Bonino zero grazing forage wagons and Dinamica Generale NIR solutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We supply a range of specialist equipment to dairy farmers, biogas companies, nutritionists, consultants and feed companies.

Bonino and Dinamica Generale boast a strong tradition of Italian engineering excellence and are backed by the commitment and experience of the Green Forage team. An understanding of the UK agricultural sector, coupled with logistical experience of machinery distribution means customers can trust us to deliver first class products and support service.

Vision: We believe that precision farming will have a significant impact on the Biogas and Agricultural industry in the next decade. The need to make informed and quick decisions based on real time data is going to be a key element. Integrated and open NIR solutions will play a key role: sensors detect the nutrients in animal feeds, digestate or slurry and provide data that management software translates into information, giving operators the means to make informed decisions.

Mission: Being the partner of choice for the biogas and dairy industry is our aim. How do we do this? By providing the most efficient and technologically advanced solutions. Our mission is to help our customers to increase profitability in two ways:
• Directly: with systems that reduce their costs and increase their margins.
• Indirectly: improving processes and contributing to the achievement of the mosthighest, homogenous production of biogas or of milk.

Quality, at the most cost-effective price, drives our success, and it is our relationship with our customers that is at the core of what we do.

Hidrostal Ltd

Hidrolstal logo

Hidrostal Ltd are manufacturers of sludge tank mixing and re-circulation pumps to the Anaerobic Digestion & Biogas industry.  The geometry of the Hidrostal screw centrifugal impeller with its large free ball passage is ideally suited for pumping sludges and liquors with unpredictable content.   The steep and stable pump curves ensure minimum flow variations when fluctuations occur in delivery head.

Hidrostal pumps are manufactured with chrome steel impellers and hidrohard liners.  These materials are ideally suited to the environment as they are both corrosion and abrasion resistant.  Both the mixers and the recirculation pumps use regulable liners making efficiency and performance restoration on site a possibility.  The efficiency is further improved due to the utilisation of I3 and IE4 TEFC motor technologies. Hidrostal’s end suction bearing frame pumps are externally mounted thus easily accessible and maintainable, ensuring servicing is trouble free.  The mixer system is also available as an offsite manufactured module.

Hidrostal pumps have longevity at their core. They have been proven to last twice as long as comparable pumps in a similar application.
