Topic: Separate food waste collections: How are they working in Northern Ireland?

Bio: Ian Garner heads WRAP’s Northern Ireland delivery for its funders and partners. Ian joined WRAP in 2003 and has led WRAP Northern Ireland’s establishment as a key resource efficiency delivery body.

Working closely with the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, Ian is WRAP’s main point of contact for the Northern Ireland Government and Northern Ireland Stakeholders.

WRAP’s team in Northern Ireland works closely with businesses and the public sector and draws in expertise from WRAP’s UK-wide teams to deliver a comprehensive resource efficiency programme for Northern Ireland.

Ian has 36 years’ experience in areas of materials resource management, industrial waste management, wastewater treatment, contaminated land regeneration, chemical manufacturing and production process research and development. He is a Chartered Environmentalist, a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager and a Chartered Biologist
