ADBA member, Odournet UK's, newest lab gains ISO 17025 accreditation

ADBA MEMBER PRESS RELEASE

Odournet UK is pleased to announce the opening of their second UK olfactometry laboratory, following the recent granting of UKAS accreditation according to the internationally recognised standard 17025:2005 (laboratory no. 2430). The accreditation covers both odour sampling and analysis to BSEN 13725:2003.

The laboratory is located in Altrincham (near Manchester) and provides Odournet with a base to expand its extensive existing portfolio of specialist odour analysis and assessment services to clients in the North of England, Scotland and Ireland. It was chosen for its excellent transport links and proximity to Manchester airport.

The odour laboratory uses trained odour panellists to appraise and characterise odour samples, for the purposes of solving environmental odour nuisance problems, and assessing the qualities of consumer products (e.g. deodorants).

The Odournet Group have pioneered ISO 17025 accreditation, obtaining the first accreditation certificate on 28 September 1993 for the Amsterdam laboratory. Since then, Odournet have made a steady commitment to guarantee accurate and repeatable test results for their customers.

Lucy Sutton, Quality Manager, Odournet UK:

Odournet UK was in a position to readily comply to the requirements of ISO 17025 and the recognition of this is an important milestone and certifies our steady commitment to delivering the highest quality services that customers can expect.
