MEMBER’S PRESS RELEASE: Considering going 50/50?

At RUR3 we have recently had a swathe of enquiries from AD developers looking at the opportunities ahead for 50/50 fed food waste and agricultural plants.  

As a company that works closely with AD plants across the UK we are encouraged by the potential for this development. More plants accepting food waste should result in more commercially viable gate fees and reduce the cost of lengthy road miles, both of which are important factors in the growth of food waste availability across the UK.

RUR3’s message, however, is still to do your homework on what wastes are available prior to build so that the plant is built to its full capability. We find that AD plants that invested in this research during the planning stages now have fewer issues with capacity shortfall, a better blend of food wastes and gate fees that are in line with their initial business model.
