New R&D funding available for AD crops: Agri-Tech and satellites for crops

Two new funding streams have been announced for the agricultural aspects of anaerobic digestion:

• “Using satellites to improve agricultural production” in funded by the Natural Resources Research Council. See the brief for this here. We understand that growing crops for AD falls within the scope of this funding. If you have an idea for how growing crops for AD can make use of satellites, you can apply for this or get in touch with us and we can put you in touch with people who know how to access funding of this nature.
• The latest round of the Agri-Tech Catalyst. See further information here.  Two of the categories which are relevant to AD are 1) primary crop and livestock production, including aquaculture 2) non-food uses of crops including ornamentals (for example, for biomass)
