Operators – register your interest in a free operator workshop

On 14th May, ADBA will be teaming up with the Environment Agency and National Farmers Union to hold a free workshop for AD operators. While the day is open to all operators, we are particularly targeting the day towards operators of smaller plants and agricultural or crop-fed plants. The workshop will be held at the EA's office in Brampton in Cambridgeshire, so operators within that area are particularly encouraged to attend.

The day is intended to be useful to operators, covering key topics that may affect day to day plant operation and help to improve performance. Sessions will be run by the EA and ADBA, as well as expert speakers, with topics likely to include:

  • Implications of the Medium Combustion Plant Directive for non-waste AD plants
  • Managing risks and trouble-shooting on site
  • Enhancing plant performance
  • AD Certification Scheme
  • Reducing insurance costs
  • Case studies from operators
  • Managing silage clamps to reduce losses

Attendees will be encouraged to share their experiences and discuss as a group how to address challenges and optimise plant performance.

We are excited to be working with the EA and NFU to deliver this workshop in partnership and hope that it will be the first of many.

Further details will be confirmed shortly, with a full invite detailing the agenda, but to register your interest in the meantime, please email me at jessica.allan@adbioresources.org. Please note that we will do our best to accomodate you, but if there is a lot of interest we may decide to hold further workshops in other regions and restrict space to one person per company.
