Shortlist announced for UK AD & Biogas Industry Awards 2014

Announcing the shortlist for anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas industry’s annual awards, ADBA chief executive Charlotte Morton said:

The UK AD & Biogas Industry Awards recognise the incredible innovation and achievements of individual companies, as well as demonstrating the benefits of anaerobic digestion and the ability of the technology to successfully integrate into a range of businesses and sectors, from food and drink, to farming, local authorities and utilities.

Held on the evening of 2 July, after first day of the annual industry exhibition and conference, UK AD & Biogas 2014, NEC Birmingham, the awards will be presented to winning organisations across all facets of the AD industry, which have successfully demonstrated their capabilities and achievements over the past 12 months.

This year’s event boasts a number of exciting new awards categories including: best supporting service; best small scale AD project; best on-farm AD project; best merchant AD project; and best food and drink industry AD project.

Roy Hathaway, UK AD & Biogas 2014 Judge and consultant at the Environmental Services Association which works to transform waste and resource management in the UK, said of the awards:

It’s a pleasure and a privilege to be one of the judges for the UK AD & Biogas Industry Awards again this year. Reading through the high calibre entries from this fast developing industry is an enjoyable and instructive experience, and picking the winners is no easy matter!
