Success at the R&I Hub 2016

On the 6th – 7th July, ADBA held the annual UK AD and Biogas event. As part of this the Research & Innovation Hub was there again. This year we had a range of speakers from academia and industry.

We heard from Dr. Raffaella Villa, who went on to collect the highly commended award for the category “Best AD Support” at the UK AD and Biogas Awards. Dr. Raffaella Villa spoke about the future of enzymatic applications in the waste sector. From industry we heard from Stephen Roe talking about Advanced Microwave technologies and Tony Clutten from Huber Technologies talking about organic recovery and landfill reduction. We had a huge variety of speaker this year, you will find a list of speakers below.

A majority of our speakers took up the challenge of speaking without a PowerPoint and we saw speakers bring a variety of props to explain concepts in their research. We saw various types of membranes, LED balloons and duplo being used to explain science and engineering.

We will soon be looking for speakers for the R&I Forum. Keep an eye on our newsletter and post for information. If you have any questions or feedback about the R&I Hub or R&I in general, please contact Emma Thomas by email or on 0203 735 8118
