ADBA member SEaB Energy wins Innovation and Technology Award

Chilworth based SEaB Energy, won the prestigious Innovation and Technology Award at the eighth Test Valley Business Awards 11/12 ceremony at the Lights, Andover, on 22 May 2012.

Sponsored by University of Southampton Science Park, the award recognises the achievement of business success through innovative application of new ideas, technology or practices. Entrants demonstrate that they have developed a product or process that has made a significant difference to sales revenue, that they are committed to the application of business technology and that they exhibit an innovative approach to marketing, management or product development.

Southampton Science Park is a hub for science and technology businesses in the Test Valley region.

The Technology and Innovation Award highlights the exceptional work taking place in Test Valley, and nowhere was the innovative exploitation of technology to create a new market opportunity more evident than in the groundbreaking work being carried out by SEaB Energy in the cleantech sector.

 

From its conception in 2008, SEaB Energy has not only developed a product, the MUCKBUSTER anaerobic digester; which looks set to revolutionise the harvesting of renewable energy, but it has developed a sound and resilient business platform from which the product can be marketed. SEaB Energy is a truly excellent examples of Best Practice in Technology and Innovation, and a worthy winner of this award.

We have had a memorable week. Along with some excellent customer meetings, we met with Gregory Barker MP
 Minister of State 
Department of Energy and Climate Change and the Caravan for 1 Million Climate Jobs. I am very encouraged by the positive feedback and support we are receiving to accelerate the commercialisation of our world beating technology.

MUCKBUSTER generates renewable energy and recover valuable nitrogen in a fully automated anaerobic digestion plant, housed in a 40 foot shipping container. As we grow our customer base, both locally and internationally we will grow local jobs within the local community and valuable exports.
