Biomethane taking off, data shows

DECC have released data showing that biomethane payments under the RHI are taking off. Estimated payments now exceed £4m from March, a significant increase on February data, although currently some time off from the biomethane triggers being reached. Biomethane has a strong pipeline though.

The RHI scheme budget as a whole reached its 50% trigger, meaning that any technology that meets its Expected Expenditure trigger will be degressed by 5%.
