Wales Recycling Strategy – call for AD industry opinion

16 April, 2020 3:00PM - 4:30PM

Virtual meeting on Remo

ADBA is currently preparing its response to the Welsh Government’s consultation on Circular Economy that goes beyond Recycling and we want your feedback. We are therefore hosting an interactive meeting using the platform Remo to present our planned response, network and discuss the proposed policy, and hear back what you think.

Provide feedback on the recycling opportunities in order to put AD at the centre of Wales’ Circular Economy

The consultation is seeking to reform current recycling practices to better embed the zero waste by 2050 commitment, scrutinise how resources are used in Wales, encourage the reuse, repair and remanufacture of products and materials, and maximise the economic and social opportunities of a more circular economy.

Wales seeks to better include communities and businesses in its waste management plans. This will allow for the resources used to be redirected from incineration and landfill to greener, fairer and more prosperous practices, such as AD.

The consultation needs to be submitted on 24th April 2020.

As ever, we want to make sure our response to this consultation reflects the views of our members and so we will be presenting our plans for the response at this event and then gathering feedback from you, our members. The more members that attend the more fruitful the discussions will be, so please join us there at 3pm on 16th April!
