MEMBER’S PRESS RELEASE: Clearfleau bolsters sales with new appointment

11th June 2018

Clearfleau Group, the provider of water treatment and bio-energy plants for the food and drink sector, has appointed Lester Young as Business Development Manager for industrial water solutions. Lester will focus on developing sales based on technology from EnviroChemie GmbH.

Lester joins Clearfleau with over 30 years’ experience in industrial water treatment, providing solutions for process water, waste water and recycling and re-use projects. After graduating as a Chemical Engineer, he worked for some of the major water technology providers, developing and implementing water solutions across a range of industries, including Food and Beverage, Chemicals and Pharmaceutical, Household and Personal Care and General Manufacturing.

Lester Young said:

The expertise that Clearfleau has in anaerobic technology combined with the vast experience and capability of EnviroChemie, with a range of proven technologies for waste water and process water, is a game changer for the UK Industrial Water market. After all my years in this industry I did not expect to be so excited by a new opportunity and it’s great to be on board!

Craig Chapman, CEO, Clearfleau Group, said:

Lester is an important addition to the Clearfleau team. His relevant experience in effluent and water treatment with a number of leading companies and valuable skill set will help strengthen Clearfleau’s position as we develop new opportunities in the UK industrial water sector following our recent acquisition by EnviroChemie.  Lester will help ensure that Clearfleau is at the forefront of delivering water-efficient solutions for our clients.

In April Clearfleau announced that it had been acquired by German water treatment company EnviroChemie GmbH (part of SKion GmbH’s water portfolio). EnviroChemie supplies advanced water and wastewater treatment plants for clients in the industrial and commercial sectors.

Alongside EnviroChemie, Clearfleau offers a portfolio of industrial water solutions in the UK. These address the engineering requirements of an increasingly water-sensitive food and beverage industry, where recycling and re-use are on the agenda of many companies. It is also continuing to focus on the supply of on-site biogas plants to reduce costs and carbon emissions.
