MEMBER’S PRESS RELEASE: Organic waste treatment and former WRAP expert joins Aqua Enviro
Aqua Enviro, an environmental consultancy specialising in the treatment of water, wastewater and organic waste, is pleased to announce that Dr David Tompkins has joined the company as Organics Technical Manager.
David, who joined the consultancy at the beginning of March, brings a wide range of experience and expert knowledge in the field of organic waste treatment and market development.
In his previous role as Sector Specialist at WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) David led the design and delivery of the organisation’s programme of technical work on market development for digestates and composts, with a particular focus on environmental and food chain safety.
David has also helped shape the agenda for WRAP’s future work towards a bio-economy.
David, who is well-known in the organic waste sector, will expand the Aqua Enviro portfolio in training, organic waste process optimisation and valorisation of the wide range of organic resources available to the bio-economy.

David holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of Plymouth and the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, as well as a BSc (Hons) in Horticulture from Imperial College.
