CPI and University of Manchester research on succinic acid

The University of Manchester, and ADBA members the Centre for Process Innovation, will be working on an exciting new project to produce a valuable bioresource, succinic acid, from glycerol, a by-product of the biodiesel manufacturing process. Succinic acid (HOOC-(CH2)2-COOH) is a globally important chemical used in the manufacture of polyester and food ingredients currently produced from fossil oil.
