Heat and Power services attend opening of Poundbury upgrader

ADBA MEMBER PRESS RELEASE

ADBA member Heat and Power Services attended the official opening of the biomethane to grid plant at Poundbury this week. HPS supplied the equipment which upgrades biogas to biomethane for the project, using DMT’s Carborex MS membrane technology.

Stuart Bennett, Director of Heat and Power Services, said:

Heat & Power Services UK agents for DMT Environmental Technology we’re involved in the sale through to commissioning, to date we have injected over 130,000 m3 of biomethane into the local gas grid network. It was an honour to meet Prince Charles and a great success in highlighting the potential for the UK market, the high profile visit will hopefully ensure the belief that this process works and will help to a more sustainable future.

Coen Meijers from DMT will be speaking about the project and biogas upgrading technologies at the ADBA National Conference on 12 December, in a session on gas to grid and Green Gas Trading. He will be joined by Alan Midwinter, who led the Poundbury project for Scotia Gas Networks, consultant Dave Lander, Green Gas Trading Director Grant Ashton and Steve Rowe from Ofgem.
