SEaB Energy's Sandra Sassow scoops Eco Entrepreneur of the Year award

SEaB Energy is celebrating yet another award this year after its chief executive, Sandra Sassow, was pronounced ‘Eco Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the 2013 Great British Entrepreneur Awards, held last week at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Central London.

With attendance from a who’s who in UK business, politics and entrepreneurship, that also included Sir Steve Redgrave CBE as guest of honour, the Awards are set to become the recognised standard of excellence amongst British entrepreneurs.

Sandra Sassow wasn’t able to collect the award in person, due to business commitments in South America, but speaking from Argentina Sandra commented:

The kudos that these awards bring will further help us export the best of British renewable technologies to a host of emerging markets in order to help combat the threat of fuel poverty and provide isolated communities with the capability of generating their own localised power using waste as the fuel.

Southampton-based SEaB Energy is the multi-award winning manufacturer of small scale power plants that enable food and drinks producers, hospitality companies, farms and retailers to turn their food and other bio wastes into energy and revenue. Already this year SEaB Energy has scooped the 2013 Resource Revolution Award ‘Technology Trailblazer: Energy-from-Waste’ and was selected as one of the Winners in the 2013 US Defense Energy Technology Challenge held in Hawaii. Sandra Sassow was also crowned the winner of the inaugural annual Global Pitch Competition at the We Own It Summit which promotes women’s participation in high-growth entrepreneurship. SEaB Energy was also selected as one of the UK’s most promising UK cleantech companies on the Clean and Cool entrepreneurial mission to Brazil.
