Energy from Waste shredding specialists UNTHA UK will be exhibiting at the UK AD & Biogas 2013 trade show, to discuss the country’s leading waste shredder for organic materials.

UNTHA UK’s managing director Chris Oldfield will head up a small team of technology experts on stand F51, who will talk to delegates about the customised RS40 waste shredder. Specially engineered to optimally process organic waste, this slow-running four shaft machine pre-shreds and re-shreds material in one single pass. Innovative tooth and cutting gap geometrics ensure the right fermentation substrate for anaerobic digestion, and a robust sealing system protects the gearbox and components from the ingress of this potentially corrosive material. Wear plates are fitted as standard which means only simple components have to be replaced over time, rather than the entire machine, and a special protective paint also prevents machinery attrition.

Such clever design features enable this RS40 to achieve unmatched uptime, productivity and an impressive throughput of 10-12 tonnes/hour, depening on waste bulk density and moisture content. This, combined with ease of maintenance, equates to an impressive return on investment for the user. What’s more, operating at only 80 DBA the RS40 is the only noise compliant shredder of its kind in the marketplace.
