ADBA’s Operators Benchmarking Survey
The Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) is bringing back its Operators’ Benchmarking Survey.
This exercise, which will be conducted annually, is an anonymised survey of the UK’s AD industry to determine where it stands and how the industry is evolving.
The aim of the survey is to collect data on key performance indicators, trends and practices, to inform stakeholders of strategies for success and compare the development of the industry over time.
As an operator, the report that ADBA will produce from this survey will help you understand how your operations compare to other plants in the sector and identify areas in which you may need to improve. The results will enable you to set strategic goals across your organisation. Ultimately, the aim is to inspire best practice so you can optimise your plant’s performance, increase your revenues and compliance.
The survey is presented as a written questionnaire covering operations, performance and compliance of the UK AD industry. ADBA is asking every AD plant in the UK to anonymously complete the survey.
The survey will run for six weeks from Monday 10 August 2026, closing at 11:59pm on Friday 18 September 2026.
Help build a clearer picture of the UK AD industry and contribute to benchmarking that can support best practice across the sector.
