This training feeds into sections 3 & 4 of the ADCS criteria and develops staff competency in these areas.

This training is aimed at anyone interested in improving their knowledge and understanding of the AD process, in order to increase output and process stability.

It consists of:

Introduction to AD and the biology basics
Monitoring biological health and efficiency
AD Process metrics and performance indicators
Troubleshooting instability
AD Plant design for process stability – an overview

The training is delivered by Angela Cronjé, director of ROOTS Organics Ltd, an independent consultancy providing technical support and advice on the recycling of organics. Angela is a chemical engineer who has worked in the waste industry for 15 years and set up ROOTS with Sarah Manwaring in 2015.  They work with investors, composting and AD operators, farmers and end users of compost and digestate products.

There will be time for networking and refreshments and a light lunch are included. (Please inform us of any special dietary requirements)

Travel: Trumpington Park and Ride is a few minutes’ walk away, Cambridge train station is a 10 minute drive/ taxi ride.
