With an investment of over £200 million, firmus has developed a network spanning 2,200 km of pipeline, making natural gas accessible to 35 cities, towns, and villages in Northern Ireland. Firmus is supporting significant reductions to Northern Ireland’s carbon emissions by converting homes and businesses from oil to natural gas, and this support will become even greater with the introduction of renewable energy to the gas network and the role it will play in achieving Northern Ireland’s ambitions for net zero carbon by 2050.
