Anaerobic Digestion of farm manures, food processing wastes and residues extracts biogas which could be deployed more widely in the UK to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and help cut GHG emissions. Biogas, along with other on-farm and food processing renewable energy technologies, reduces farm energy costs and offers an attractive diversification for farmers and the food industry.
This event, designed for farmers, food processors and others thinking of investing in smaller scale AD, demonstrates how the agri-food sector can increase bio-energy output, turn waste into energy, and upgrade biogas into vehicle fuel. Join us to explore the opportunities for farms to become energy suppliers.
