MEMBER PRESS RELEASE – e-POWER Auction Delivers Strong Results for Biomethane Producers

e-POWER continues to deliver positive outcomes for biomethane producers participating in its Renewable Gas Guarantee of Origin (RGGO) auctions, with the latest auction demonstrating encouraging market strength and sustained buyer interest from across the sector.

Recent auction activity saw non-accredited RGGOs trade at a high of £16.80/MWh, while ISCC-certified RGGOs achieved £23.00/MWh, reflecting the continued value that buyers place on high-quality renewable gas certificates and the positive momentum developing within the market.

The auction attracted purchasers from across Europe and the UK, demonstrating the broad appeal of renewable gas certificates and the benefits of providing producers with access to a diverse and competitive buyer base. Competition within the latest auction was particularly strong, with 54 bids received, highlighting the depth of buyer engagement and supporting robust price discovery. This expanding network of participants creates greater opportunities for biomethane producers to maximise the value of their environmental attributes.

In addition to delivering strong market outcomes, e-POWER remains committed to providing an efficient and reliable service to participants. Following the close of each auction, funds are typically credited to sellers’ bank accounts within 7–9 working days, providing timely and dependable access to revenue. This prompt payment process supports effective cash flow management and gives producers confidence that the value achieved through the auction is converted quickly into realised income.
