Investment Minister Graham Stuart MP has said that the government’s forthcoming Resources & Waste Strategy will “require separate food waste collections” to reduce emissions from landfill and produce renewable energy and natural fertiliser through anaerobic digestion (AD).
The UK’s trade body for anaerobic digestion (AD) has announced that it is recruiting a new Chair to lead the association into its second decade and to help deliver its vision to drive the growth of an industry that can reduce UK greenhouse gas emissions by close to 5%, improve its energy and food security, and create tens of thousands of jobs throughout the UK, with opportunities to export into a global market estimated to have a £1trn market potential.
The Minister for Investment, the Chair of the EU Energy & Environment Sub-Committee, and the Chief Economist of the National Infrastructure Commission have been announced as the keynote speakers for the ADBA National Conference 2018.
