Site 1: Biolectric – Small-Scale AD for Farmers

Biolectric is pioneering small-scale biogas plants designed specifically for farms, transforming locally produced biomass into renewable energy.

By reducing reliance on external energy suppliers and lowering carbon footprints, Biolectric is helping agriculture move towards a cleaner, more independent future.

At this site, you’ll experience a fully operational small-scale AD plant integrated into a working farm.

Discover more on the Biolectric website.

Site 2: EAG Bioenergy (EAGB), Toomebridge – Powering Energy Security

GTG Biogas is a high performing 500kwe plant in a semi-rural, industrial setting near Toomebridge in Co Antrim. It is a crop fed plant which utilises all of its waste heat to support a co-located commercial drying operation, capable of drying over 100 tonnes of material on a weekly basis for the animal bedding market. The site is well maintained by EAG Bioenergy, using a combination of internal and external staff, as well as sector specific O&M support from AgriKomp.

EAG Bioenergy was delighted to acquire GTG Biogas in 2024 as part of its growth plan, and has continued to invest in multiple upgrade initiatives to ensure GTG maintains its current level of performance well into the future.
