Ofwat publishes response to their Bioresources Market Information Direction consultation

Ofwat has published their new Direction following their consultation last month. The Direction sets out the data that water companies must publish on an annual basis, and the updated mandate requires the following information:

• The direction will take affect this year, with data to be published by 5pm on the 31^st July
• Long term, annual information with the option to provide an explanatory commentary
• Short term, monthly information
• Transport routes
• Renewable energy incentives
• Consistency of inputs
• Other supplementary information
• Sludge treatment disaggregated data
• Disaggregated data on formal or informal approaches received by regulated companies

The publication of market activity information will be required as part of their Annual Performance Report and the narrative disclosure will be replaced with an online survey via Microsoft Forms. The summary of responses and final decisions can be found here.
