AD – free from SEaB Energy

ADBA MEMBER PRESS RELEASE

Any business operating in the food sector can now convert its waste into energy at no cost to itself.

SEaB Energy, the multi-award winning manufacturer of small-scale and micro-scale anaerobic digestion (AD) systems, has secured funding to enable up to 20 businesses to have a unit installed and operating on their premises free of charge.

Each AD unit is housed in a transportable container, enabling it to be easily delivered and installed. With a processing capacity of up to 2.5 tonnes of organic waste each day, the self-optimising “FlexiBuster™”, sister unit to the “MuckBuster®”, is especially suitable for use by food manufacturing plants, micro breweries and bakeries as well as larger catering establishments, shopping centres and leisure parks.

The biogas produced by the AD unit is harnessed for feeding in to the National Grid whilst the PAS110-compliant digestates can be sold as organic fertilisers or mulch. The income derived from these revenue streams over a 20-year operating period helps to offset the cost of the unit including its installation and scheduled maintenance whilst, for the waste producer, all costs previously associated with the storage, collection and disposal of the waste are eliminated.

SEaB Energy, with its pioneering AD solution, is one of just nine companies world-wide to have been recently selected from over five hundred by the NASA backed sustainability initiative, ‘LAUNCH: Beyond Waste,’ as a provider of a global game-changing technology to address climate change.

Highlighting the significance of this latest initiative, Sandra Sassow, chief executive, SEaB Energy, explained:

This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses, who see the benefits of anaerobic digestion but have been put off by the lack of suitable facilities locally and the huge costs involved in waste transportation, to take advantage of a very generous business package that can only be offered on a limited, first come first served basis. It will also enable companies that are keen to promote their Corporate Social Responsibility to adopt AD on a no-risk basis.

Businesses wishing to register their interest in this offer should contact SEaB Energy without delay for further details and to arrange a site visit and consultation.
