The US is set to increase its biofuel blend mandates and introduce protectionist measures to favour domestic production, massively disadvantaging imported fuels and feedstocks. The consequences will be far reaching for where biofuels are made and consumed, impacting US trade for feedstocks and biofuels with the EU, Brazil and Canada and redrawing current supply chains.
