SEaB Energy wins patents for its mobile power plant solution

SEaB Energy has secured patents from the US and the UK for its multi award-winning, portable power plants that use microbial technology to turn food and other biowastes into energy and revenue.

SEaB Energy’s now patented system is the first to market with a unique, highly mobile, energy generator that uses anaerobic digestion (AD) to eliminate the movement of waste and the associated costs of transport and disposal. The company’s MuckBuster®, designed for the farm and equestrian market, and its sister Flexibuster™, built for the food and drink sector, are fully automated and self-optimising. The systems are housed in transportable containers, enabling low-cost delivery, rapid installation and ease of operation – to anywhere in the world.

SEaB Energy was last year selected from over five hundred applicants by the NASA backed sustainability initiative, ‘LAUNCH: Beyond Waste,’ as a provider of a global game-changing technology to address climate change, and most recently scooped the 2013 Resource Revolution Award ‘Technology Trailblazer: Energy-from-Waste’. SEaB Energy also won the 2012 UK ADBA Industry Award for Best Micro AD Project (<250 kWh) for its installation at the University of Southampton Science Park and last year were chosen as one of the 16 most innovative and fastest growing Cleantech companies in Britain. The company has also been selected as one of the Winners in the 2013 Defense Energy Technology Challenge (DETC) that forms part a major part of the annual Asia Pacific Clean Energy Summit (Hawai‘i, September 9 – 11).
